Walking man GIF

To create this animated GIF first I had to create a person on illustrator. I copied the original image multiple times and altered the leg and arm positions each time to create animation frames.

I exported this image and imported it to Photoshop. I brought up the timeline and changed the mode to frame animation. For the first frame I resized the first frame on the image I made to fit the art board. I made a second frame and dragged the image along to the next walking frame. I continued this process until I got to the last frame on the page. when I played the frames they moved smoothly as if the man was really walking. I had to adjust a few frames so that the body lined up and then I exported it as a gif.

One problem I encountered earlier on was when I first created the frame image I only made the first row so the arms jerked back from the last frame to the first. To fix this problem I had to make another row so that the arms swayed smoothly from side to side.

AccidentGif

Animated Gif

I struggled to export this animation as a Gif and loop it continuously. To overcome this problem I had to export the animation as a video from After Effects and import it to photoshop. From photoshop I was able to export it as a Gif. However the Gif moved at an incredibly slow frame rate so I had to speed up the frame rate then go to File, Export, Save for web. I selected Gif, and exported it from there.
